Amarantus is a relationship visual novel about trainwrecks, trysts & treason.
Arik's decided it's time somebody does something about his country's slow descent into hell. Accompanied by old friends and new strangers, he's off on a journey across the country to confront the tyrannical ruler of the realm.
To survive the trip in one piece, they'll have to navigate a perfect storm of trainwreck decisions, disaster relationships...and backstory.
Lead an expressive, dynamic, interconnected cast of characters across the country—making leadership decisions and winning new friends while alienating others.
Develop Arik's motivations and personality through patterns of decision-making, opening up access to new relationships with party members or new narrative paths—and closing some doors for good. Characters won't forget if they feel like they've been wronged!
Cultivate platonic, antagonistic, or romantic relationships with the members of your party, or leave them to their own devices. But be cautious: not all relationships work out.
