National Film & Sound Archive: Local Heroes of Gaming

The National Film and Sound Archive is bringing the popular Game Masters exhibition to Canberra between September 27th, 2019 and March 9th, 2020.

With exclusive all-night access to Game Masters: The Exhibition and 80 playable video games, the bar open late and music in the Courtyard, the Local Heroes of Gaming night (Novemer 22nd) will present talks and demonstrations from Canberra legends.

Canberra-based game developers Anna Tito (Crossy: Road, The Simpsons:Tapped Out) and Ben Roach (Final Fantasy XV, Elden Ring)  will discuss their careers and latest works from 6.30pm in Arc cinema.

Games music composer Mick Gordon (Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Doom) will chat with composer Kenneth Lampl from the ANU School of Music, 7.30pm in the Theatrette.

Game Loading: Rise of the Indies, an Australian-directed documentary, looks at indie developers, their craft, games and how they forever changed the landscape of games culture, 7.30pm in Arc cinema.
